Student Worker Programs
Delta Community is proud to offer career development opportunities to high school and college students through apprenticeship and internship programs. In 2006, we launched our first High School Apprentice Program. Since its inception, more than 200 students have participated in high school apprenticeships, with many remaining at Delta Community after the completion of their term. We've since expanded our program offerings, striving to provide students with valuable and enriching work experience as a foundation for their future careers.
Our student worker programs are designed to complement classroom studies with paid productive work experiences. We seek out bright and enthusiastic talent who possess fresh, innovative perspectives, and we consider our student workers a valuable asset to their respective teams and to the Credit Union overall.
Delta Community currently sponsors four different student worker programs: High School Apprentice, Part-Time Teller, Part-Time Member Care Agent and Undergraduate College Intern.

High School Apprentice Program
Our High School Apprentices work in our branches as tellers. This role works directly with our members, providing them with prompt and courteous service. High School Apprentices learn to process various transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments. Apprentices will also learn about the products and services the Credit Union offers, and provide recommendations to our members that best suit their needs.
To be eligible for a high school apprenticeship, students must be a current high school junior or senior that is enrolled in their school's Work-Based Learning Program. These student workers typically work 15-20 hours per week, including Saturdays.
Part-Time Teller – College Worker Program
Similar to High School Apprentices, some of our Part-Time Tellers participate in the Student Worker Program as college students, working in our branches as tellers. These student workers are the face of the Credit Union, working one-on-one with our members by processing transactions and recommending beneficial products and services. Our Part-Time Tellers should be flexible, as they may be needed to work at multiple branch locations in the metro Atlanta area, but this program is a wonderful opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a competitive salary.
This is a paid opportunity, and students may work up to 25 hours per week.
Part-Time Member Care Agent – College Worker Program
Our Part-Time Member Care Agents are excellent listeners that understand the value of providing superior member service. These student workers will join our Member Care Center team, offering quality assistance to all Delta Community members who call in or reach out via secure email.
This is a paid opportunity, and students may work up to 25 hours per week, including Saturdays.
Undergraduate College Internship Program
We currently offer internship programs for college students pursuing undergraduate degrees in public relations, communications, information technology and business administration. Interns will work directly with the designated department to support their initiatives and help the Credit Union achieve its business goals.
Students must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, preferably within the state of Georgia. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA if course credit is being obtained. Delta Community Credit Union will accept a 2.50 GPA if course credit is not being obtained. Interns will work up to 25 hours per week, with schedules being set by the department manager. Internship sessions are typically sixteen weeks.
