Delta Community Board Elects New Chair and Vice Chair

Delta Community Credit Union is proud to announce the election of Linda O’Shea as Chairman and Charlie Boyajian as Vice Chairman of its Board of Directors.
The board elections took place on March 26, following the Credit Union’s annual membership meeting on March 17. O’Shea succeeds the late Jim Diffley, who served as chairman for an extraordinary 38 years until his passing in September 2024.
O’Shea has been a board member since 2003 and served as Vice Chairman since 2011. “Serving on Delta Community’s board over the past 20 years has been a privilege, and I am honored to assume the responsibilities of chairman,” she said. “I look forward to partnering with my fellow directors to further enhance the value Delta Community delivers to our members and local communities.”
CEO Hank Halter praised the board’s leadership and depth. “We are fortunate to have a highly talented, engaged group of directors who bring different expertise to support management and benefit members,” said Halter. “The depth, strength and commitment of our board is evident in Delta Community’s ongoing success and this smooth, effective transition in board officers.”
O’Shea brings more than 30 years of experience in finance and HR, specializing in compensation, with leadership roles at Delta Air Lines and Aon. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of West Georgia.
Boyajian, who joined the board in 2005, is a veteran U.S. Navy aviator and an A330 captain at Delta Air Lines, where he has worked for 36 years. He holds a finance degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s in computer science and business administration from the University of Houston.
Other independent board members include Secretary and Treasurer Lemuel R. Wimbish, Jr.; Alan Arnold; Allison Ausband; Esther Hammond; Robin Stricklin; and Matt Sullivan. Halter is the only member of management who serves on the board.
