How do I redeem my HH, H, or US war bonds?

Delta Community cannot redeem HH, H, or US war bonds. However, we can help you by:

Certifying or guaranteeing your signature on your request for payment (on the back of the HH, H, or US war bond you want to redeem), and
Sending the bonds, with your direct deposit instructions and any supporting documents (if needed), to the Treasury Retail Securities Site.

When requesting redemption of HH, H, US war bonds, FS Form 1522 is required. Medallion signature may be required on form.

The Treasury Direct will pay your HH, H, or US war bonds through direct deposit. If you do not already have direct deposit for your HH, H, or US war bonds, fill out and include the Treasury Direct's FS Form 5396. You will be required to show that you are entitled to redeem the bond if you are not listed as the owner or co-owner on the bond.
