What type of checks are generally subject to holds?
Personal checks, Fidelity checks, Escrow checks, Insurance checks, etc. all have the potential of a hold being placed.
What type of checks may not require holds being placed on the funds?
Any check that is considered "Guaranteed" funds (ex: cashier's checks, official bank checks, certified checks, travelers checks, payroll checks) may be available to you immediately after deposit. This is based on management approval.
*All check deposits regardless of the check type may be subject to holds; this will be based on the validity of each check.
