For incoming domestic wire transfers, you can advise the sending bank that Delta Community CU is on line with the Federal Reserve.
Applying to Loan - To have wired funds applied directly to a loan for payment, utilize the full account number of the loan in place of the savings or checking account number. The loan number consists of your account number, a dash or space and two (2) digit loan number.
How do I send a wire transfer?
You may request the wire via Online Banking by clicking on the Transfers tab and choosing either Domestic Wire Transfer or International Wire Transfer. If you do not use Online Banking, you may visit a local branch or contact us at 404-715-4725 or 1-800-554-3328.
What is the cut off time for wire transfers to be transmitted on the same business day?
Yes. The cutoff time for outgoing wire transfers to be sent is 4:00 p.m. EST for domestic wire transfers and 3:00 p.m. for international wire transfers on business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays). Wire requests received after that time will be sent the next business day. Incoming wire transfer funds may be posted until 4:15 p.m. EST Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
What does the wire confirmation number ensure?
The wire confirmation number ensures that the wire went to the receiving bank. Wire confirmation numbers are provided upon request.
Is the exchange rate that Delta Community offers comparable to that of other financial institutions?
Yes, Delta Community offers a very competitive exchange rate that is adjusted on a daily basis according to the current market.
How can I have a wire transfer traced?
For wire transfers within the United States, you will need to contact the sending financial institution and verify that the correct wire instructions were used. Once verified have the sending financial institution research and trace the wire.

For international wire transfers, it can take up to two weeks from the originator to beneficiary to process. If it has been four days, you will need to contact the sending financial institution to obtain the US correspondent bank information and confirm that they have the following information correct:
- Beneficiary Bank: Bank of New York Mellon
- Beneficiary Account Name: Delta Community Credit Union
- Beneficiary Account Number: 8900684046
- For Further Credit To: Your Name and account number for savings or checking deposit as it appears on your Delta Community account
If this information is correct, the sending institution should continue to research until the wire has been located.
If an outgoing wire rejects, and the correct information to send the wire transfer isn't received by 4:00 p.m. EST (3:00 p.m. EST for international wire transfers), what happens to the funds?
If the outgoing wire was originated by Delta Community Credit Union, the funds will be re-deposited back into your account, however the wire fee is non-refundable. You will need to call back when the correct wiring instructions have been obtained to have the wire submitted again. A second wire fee will apply.
