Delta Community Wins Two Credit Union Times LUMINARIES Awards
Credit Union’s CEO and Community Investment Efforts Recognized with Prestigious Industry Award
ATLANTA (Nov. 8, 2024) – Delta Community Credit Union won two Credit Union Times LUMINARIES Awards, which recognize individual, team and organizational excellence in key operational performance areas. The annual awards program draws interest from credit unions across the country, with multiple awards offered in different categories based on organizational size. As Georgia’s largest credit union with more than $8.6 billion in assets, Delta Community competed with the largest-sized credit unions.
Hank Halter, Delta Community’s CEO, won in the category of “Credit Union Executive Leadership – CEO,” which honors CEOs for their focus and dedication to the credit union system. Halter was selected from a group of eight nominees – all of whom were CEOs of large, highly-respected credit unions.
Delta Community won a second award in the “Community Impact – Credit Unions” category. The award recognizes credit unions making a positive difference in their communities, and Delta Community’s community investment strategy stood out from the nine other credit unions’ entries.
“These awards are a team achievement and reflect the industry-leading results that Delta Community employees are producing together,” Halter said. “I also want to congratulate and thank our Business and Community Development teams for the effort they put forth to coordinate and execute our community engagement programs. This activity is a natural extension of Delta Community’s service-oriented mission and helps fulfill our responsibility to act as a good corporate citizen.”
Presented by the Credit Union Times, the credit union industry’s premiere news source, the winners of the 2024 LUMINARIES Awards were chosen by an independent panel of industry experts from approximately 200 submissions..
